The Most Creative Dog Names

Dog names have probably been on your mind quite a bit lately. What exactly do you want to name your new puppy? Choosing the best dog names is very important because it is something you will be saying several times a day for the next several years as your dog grows up and lives with you. You want it to at least be a name you will enjoy yelling.

Owners can choose a different types of dog names. Some choose people names such as Charles or Abbey. To be a bit more creative you can go with names from movies such as The Beast from the Sand Lot, Hercules, or even Lassie.

The great thing about dog names is that they are not held to the strict standards that human names are. You have much more creative freedom for coming up with something truly unique. So make sure you take advantage of this and choose a dog name that people will be talking about.

You can go with a dog name that describes your dog, such as Fur Ball, Tiny, Giant, Beast. You can also go with one of the more common dog names such as Fido, Rover, Spot and so on.

You know what would be hilarious? Naming a huge dog something that makes it sound small and harmless and naming a tiny dog something that makes it sound huge and ferocious. That is what is so great about naming a dog, there is no rules holding you back. The sky is the limit.

A friend of mine had quite a creative name for her dog. He was black and white and was named Oreo, which fit him perfectly. On the other hand, my mother has a Black Lab that she named Sadie so you really do have many options.

You can literally name your dog after anyone or anything. Ranging from disliked relatives to childhood friends to even super heroes, foods, cities or anything else you can think of.

Just make sure you are never ashamed to use the name you choose for your dog when out in public. This is why profanity and other degrading words are not the best to use for dog names.
